Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): how to fill it in for free

Who needs Thailand's Digital Arrival Card, when to submit it, what you need, how to complete it for free on the official site, and how to avoid sites that charge fees.
On this page
Thailand's Digital Arrival Card, or TDAC, is an online form that foreign visitors complete before they arrive. It replaced the old paper TM6 card. This guide is based on the official Thai Immigration site as of November 2026. Rules can change, so check tdac.immigration.go.th before you travel.
What you should know first
Who needs it. The official site says that all passengers must complete the card. Check the current rules for children, transit passengers and other special cases.
When to submit it. Foreigners are required to submit their information 3 days in advance of their arrival date.
It's free. The official site is marked as having no fees. Other sites may charge you to complete the same form, so make sure you're on tdac.immigration.go.th.
It isn't a visa. Visa rules and how long you can stay depend on your passport, so check them with a Thai embassy or consulate. Check your passport's validity as well.
What to prepare
- Your passport
- Your arrival and departure flight numbers and dates
- The full address of where you're staying first, including the postcode

How to fill it in
1. Open the official site. Go to tdac.immigration.go.th and choose Arrival Card.
2. Enter your personal details. Use your name exactly as it appears on your passport, and add your passport number, date of birth and nationality.
3. Add your trip. Enter your arrival date, reason for travel, flights and first address.
4. Answer the health questions. Answer them honestly.
5. Submit it and save your confirmation. Check everything before you submit. Keep the confirmation you receive on your phone, along with a screenshot or printout, in case you have no signal when you land.
If you've made a mistake, the official site has an Update Arrival Card option for changing your details. Check the details against your passport again before you travel.

Customs: check before you pack
Thailand limits the alcohol and tobacco you can bring in without paying duty, and it bans e-cigarettes, with serious penalties. Drones and some medicines may also have special rules. Check the Thai Customs Department's website for current limits. Officers can also ask to see that you have enough funds for your stay, so check the current guidance.
When should I submit the TDAC?
The official site says that foreigners must submit their information 3 days in advance of their arrival date. Check the site for how close to your arrival you can submit it.
Do I have to pay?
The official site is marked as having no fees. If a site asks you to pay, you may be using a third-party service rather than the official form.
What if I made a mistake?
Use the Update Arrival Card option on the official site, then check your confirmation again.
Does everyone in my family need one?
The official notice says that all passengers must complete the card, so make sure that each person in your group is covered, including children.
